Marmorino

The faux finishing is a decorative stucco which imitates marble. It is generally used in decoration when the use of slabs of marble is too expensive. The results can be so realistic as not to be distinguished from natural marble. The technique was used in many artistic movements, including Baroque , Palladian , Neoclassical , Art Nouveau and Art Deco .

  • Many textures, from polished marble to natural stone effects Can be tinted to give a wide range of colours
  • Waterproofing and anti-bacterial qualities
  • Very desirable for luxury bathrooms and other wet areas
  • Dates to ancient Roman times
  • Has to be applied in 3 thin and tightened coats in order to obtain its unique effect
